About Us

It’s not really “us”, there’s only one of me unfortunately. This site was set up when I thought it would be cool get a games console before it was released in the UK and I was hyped up about the Nintendo DSi XL. I thought I could justify spending the extra money to get it early if I was to start up a blog about it to give people a preview and let them see if it is good or not. To help me recoup some of the cost of importing the console, I added a few adverts to the site. I didn’t want them to be anything intrusive so they basically take the form of links to places that sell the console, so it’s all useful information anyway. If you want to help support this blog, just click on one of the links to any shop and buy stuff, that would be really really cool. If not, well no hard feelings, I hope the site has been of some use to you anyway :-)

A note about comments and your input. I really welcome comments and site feedback. It’s great to hear your opinions and if this site has been useful to people, which occasionally it is. It’s great to get your comments but I moderate them for a few reason. I get rid of spam obviously. I don’t allow anyone insulting anyone else. Some people seem to think it’s acceptable to be rude to complete strangers online, well it’s not here so I will delete any signs of that. Pointless comments which don’t provide an opinion or thought may get deleted. This site and the contests run on it are supported by online retailers so some comments promoting other retailers could be removed. Constructive criticism of this site or products is allowed. This is all standard stuff that you’ll find on practically all blogs (in fact I’m pretty liberal) but I just felt I needed to explain why comments are moderated.

Thanks for this site Adam. It is excellent, I thought it was a nintendo official site at first! I too am hyped up about the DSi XL. (even though I am 38!) Was looking everywhere on internet for more info about the XL and found your video on Youtube.
Thanks to your site, I have preordered the XL early, as you suggested, to guarantee one when they come out.
Will you also buy a European XL when they come out here? Do you plan to give more info after it is released? Thanks again.

Wow thanks Peter. It’s always good to hear that the site is useful to people that are coming here. Glad you’re excited about the console too. I’m sure you’ll love it. Yeah I will get a European Nintendo DSi XL at some point.

What are the chances of different colours being released? Why brown?
Does the new XL work with popular game cards? Where does one get films from that could then be viewed on the XL as a portable ‘video machine?
Nice site, everything in one place.

I bought the XL yesterday at Argos store in Feltham. The leaflet in store said £159.99 with a game(Puzzle Master) and accessory pack, but at the counter she said it was £149.99. Best price I think for this lot.
