Nintendo DSi XL – I’ve Found the Best Price UK Price
Please read this…
The stores listed below offer free delivery. Watch out for a few of stores (not listed here) who advertise cheaper prices but catch you with a large delivery charges or those that only give you the advertised prices if you sign up to their credit arrangements. Buy your Nintendo DSi XL today and you can be playing your brand new console tomorrow!
Click here for Amazon’s special DSi XL deal which includes a free accessory kit, free delivery and a game for £10 (the best deal around if you ask me).
Hopefully this price comparison will be useful for anyone who has decided they want a Nintendo DSi XL and now just need to decide where to buy. DSi XL usually comes with free shipping since most online stores pay the postage on items over a certain price. There are exceptions though such as Asda who charge £5 for delivery and Argos (who charge around the same amount but I can’t remember how much to be honest and I’m typing this on a train so can’t go to their website and check).
The list now contains lots of Nintendo DSi XL bundles. Because of the way the comparison chart works, it doesn’t track certain DSi XL bundles where the buyer needs to select the items they want (it only works when the bundle is ordered as a single item on the website). As far as I know this only affects the Amazon offer where you can get a choice of games and choice of different coloured accessory packs for just £10 more.
If you’re wondering where I go to buy DSi XL consoles (and you probably aren’t but I’ll tell you anyway), I got my first one from Play-Asia and the second from Amazon. I don’t advice buying from Play-Asia since I only went there to get the console before it came out in the UK. If you do buy from there, the console’s menus will be in Japanese and you will only be able to change the language to other Asian languages. On top of that you will have to pay an import tax of around £30. Now the DSi XL is available the UK, there really isn’t any reason to order from their anymore unless you’re very keen to play Japanese exclusive DSiware from the DSiShop (while the DSiWare is region locked, cartridges can be used in any region).

My English DSi XL.
When I bought a UK DSi XL I ordered it from Amazon. As I mentioned above they have a good deal where you get a game and an accessory pack for just £10 extra. Unfortunately the offer wasn’t available when I made my order but, lucky for you, it is now. Actually the reason I ordered from Amazon was because they are very reliable and 99% of the time have the cheapest offers on. On top of that they do a great pre-order deal where you pay the lowest price between the time of placing your order and the release date. It’s not much use to anyone looking to buy Nintendo DSi XL consoles now as it has already been released but useful to know if you’re planning on pre-ordering games or anything in the future.
One final thing I want to say about the DSi XL, which a lot of people are asking about, is if they are compatible with R4 and R4i cards. The good news for people wishing to use their extra large console to play homebrew games (and please only use the R4i for that, any other uses are illegal and immoral and hurt the industry we love) is that the version 1.4 compatible R4i card I bought worked perfectly well. I would go as far as saying drawing apps like Colors DS benefit more from the increased screen size than most commercial games.
If you’re interested in taking the leap to the 3rd dimension of gaming, you should check out the Nintendo 3DS. You’ve probabl heard about about how the 3D effects have wowed millions of people around the world but there’s more to it than that. To me the most important thing is the amazing line up of games on the system. It’s got everything from Nintendogs 3DS to games for more traditional gamers players like Mario 3DS.
Are you buying online? Which colour are you getting and where from?
It’s all about BooMansion hands down. I’ve been to most of the forums posted and to me BooMansions wins.
I vote for Boomansion! That forum is AWSM!
i vote for LoZ.com because we have just hit the 10 year mark for being an online community, which i have been a part of for just about 5 years. the boards are nice and active, with many friendly members, and the staff keeps Zelda fans like myself up to date on the most current Zelda/Nintendo related news! vote LoZ.com! -Master Sword
For the Win.
Why shouldn’t anyone vote for this site? It’s so well run, and makes a helluva impression by the time you log off.

N-Europe
For providing consistently high-quality coverage with their news, well-considered game critiques in their reviews, and easily accessible content via a well-designed and user-friendly website layout.
Boo Mansion
While this site has had it’s ups and downs, it’s become one of the most addicting Mario fansites I’ve been too, and I met a lot of my best friends there.
Of all the sites I have been to, I have to say that LegendofZelda.com has been the best. It’s very easy to use, be it to find information, songs, or even someone to debate the finer points of the series with. The website supervisor has done an amazing job, keeping everybody’s intrest with witty blogs, and new features to suit everyone’s needs. There is nothing lacking on this site, and I can’t begin to count the amount of hours I have spent listening to the tracks from the games while I did my homework. There is no reason that I wouldn’t cast my vote for LegendofZelda.com.
I vote for BooMansion.
LegendofZelda.com, hands down
They keep up with news in the gaming industry in general as well as on Nintendo specifically, which is something, as the owner of another video game centered forum community, makes me very jealous, because that’s something that is very tricky to do. But it’s not just their staff’s ability to keep up with news, but the community is very accepting of new members, and help each other when they need a hand. Staff are friendly but still maintain the rules, and you never know what kinds of people you’re gonna meet! it’s an all around good time.
LOZ Is A Really Cool Site With Some Of The Most Zelda Related Info I Have Ever Found.
it’s a fantastic website, always quick with updating readers on the latest in the nintendo world, some rather amusing competitions and in my opinion spot on reviews. it’s one of the very few websites that i regularly visit.

N-Europe
N-Europe is truly awesome. It maintains a professional agenda whilst being personable and community driven. Thank-you so much, to both Nintendo and N-Europe.
LoZ should get the prize because of all the dedicated, hard working members and staff that put in more than their fair share of time to make legendofzelda.com a great place to be on the web!
After viewing all of the sites and considering each of them, I have come to the conclusion that the winner should be:

(Website name for vote) vNES
(Comment) The site is an impressive collection of over 70% of all the NES games that were released. It provides that overly nostalgic feeling that most of the other sites are just missing. The interface is intuitve, the controls simple, the staff friendly and helpful. 5 star website run by 5 star people.
I vote for Boo Mansion. Its a great place for me and Mario fans. Its has spritesheets, an original TCG, and some other content there is. Long Live BM!

I vote for Boo Mansion.
I have been a member for going on five years, and I must say no other site is so wonderful regarding the world of LOZ. Members there are the nicest people you’ll ever meet and the site is top notch in its LOZ related news and information. Never will you feel more at home than within the arms of the users of LOZ. I feel that LegendofZelda.com is most deserving of being voted ‘best’.
I vote for Nintendoland.com.
In addition to being one of the oldest Nintendo sites around, we’ve also been working hard at rebuilding the popularity that we had prior to a server change that took several years. We have one of the most dedicated communities I’ve seen across the entire Internet, and our admin has done everything he could in order to not only get the users involved in the development and running of the site, he has also enlisted the help of a few friends in order to do a complete site overhaul, so we’ll be looking at a complete site overhaul within the next few months.
Great site with lots of info.
I’ve been going to Boo Mansion for years, and I’ve loved every minute of it. Excellent information, design, and a community that is as friendly as can be.
