The DSi XL Nintendo Website Contest

27/02/2010 Update: Due to the massive amount of bandwidth all these picture take up (I went over my bandwidth limit 3 times last month) and now that the contest is over, I’ve moved the info below to this new page.

17/02/10 Update: Voting has finished. See the top 10 most popular Nintendo site.

Below are the websites taking part in The DSi XL Nintendo Website Contest. They are all run by dedicated Nintendo fans for other Nintendo fans. As a token of thanks to those who spend so much time making the best website they can for us, you can vote for your favourite. The website with the most votes will receive a fairly cool prize of a DSi XL, several months before the official release.

To vote, just leave a comment with the website you wish to vote for, optionally followed by anything you want to say about the website. Here’s an example;

(Website name) Super Amazing World of Nintendo
(Comment – optional) I think Super Amazing World of Nintendo is amazing and super. I like the way it provides information about Nintendo and almost creates a world of information on the subject.

Zelda Informer

Zelda Informer
Zelda Informer is the premier source for all your Zelda needs. While a newer site to the gaming community (launched on July 16th, 2007) we have quickly picked up a fast moving head of steam as we continue to provide unique and interesting content. The Bombers writing team provides unique and in-depth Zelda related articles, which is the backbone of the site. We also feature an ongoing Webcomic, Guides for all the games (including the worlds first Spirit Tracks Walkthrough), and even some unique and exciting video content. If that wasn’t enough, in the course of the last year we became the go to source for all your Zelda news, constantly breaking the latest happenings in both the development of the games and the fan community. As an American based site, we provide scans of magazines not available to our core fan base (Scans from EU and Japan) and have started our own translations of the Japanese manga and some former interviews that were previously never translated to the Zelda english speaking fan base. With updates happening usually multiple times a day, there is reason to keep coming back time and time again.

Of course, we also feature a fast growing Forum Community, and will be launching two new projects on the site soon enough. Zelda Historians is a project to gather all resources a theorist could need in one spot, while due to a recent merger we will be bringing you, down the road, the Zelda 64 beta game in full release. Of course, we have more things rapidly approaching on the horizon, such as a podcast, a new feature rich layout, and many more revamps to current and future content. In short, we like to think we are really good at what we do, and we take to the Nintendo strategy: Always looking to innovate and find that next big thing.

The League has 13 Gym Leaders and an Elite Four for those who like a goal in competitive battling. The League hosts heated battles almost daily. Battles sporadically form in the chat, and some make for memorable ones.

We also have members that would be glad to help other members with team building and even a group dedicated to it. We don’t have too much information about the game, but, if we don’t have the answer, we can point you in the right direction! The League also has a playlist on YouTube with some of the epic battles. We are new on the Internet, but we seem to be popular with our members.

Come join in on the fun!
