Hotel Nintendo
Nintendo used to run seedy “love hotels”. Most people start blogs with something along the lines of “Welcome to my new DSi XL blog” but I thought I’d try something a bit different and provide you with an interesting piece of information.
This blog is going to be all about… actually; I’m not going to tell you. I’m going to leave you to see if you can work out the subject of this blog. If you have any ideas, leave a comment and I’ll tell you if you’ve guess correctly (hint: the site’s name is “DSi XL”).
Over the next few months I’ll be following every interesting titbit of new information on the DSi XL console until it is launched. There will probably be more information on here than you will find interesting but I’ll keep typing and talking about it anyway.
If you’re interested in why Nintendo were running “love hotels” you should know they actually began as a company in 1889! I know, surprising isn’t it? I was shocked when I read the Wikipedia page. They have been a playing card company for most of that time. It’s only fairly recently the moved over to video games. I’m not sure if they will return to trading cards. Maybe the Nintendo DSi XL will be their last console and from there they will move back to playing cards. Oh, I’ve just read a bit more of the Wikipedia page and apparently they do still make playing cards in Japan. It’s nice they’re still in touch with their routes.

The nearest you can get these days to a Nintendo Love Hotel.
The company grow into the US and became so popular they could afford to invest in other business ideas in the 1960s. I know what you’re thinking, “this must be where they started the taxi company they are known for today”, and you’d be right. They also had a stab at the old “love hotel” business, a TV network and an instant food company.
Sadly all these businesses failed so you can’t get a Nintendo Taxi any more. Nintendo came back from the brink of collapse with a Laser Clay Shooting System. Then they moved onto games consoles most notably the Virtual Boy and DSi XL.
wow i thought nentendo only made tech stuff but they also have a hotel.
You learn something new everyday.
4th paragraph last word, it should be roots, not routes.
