Warning: Nintendo DSi XL Shortage

I’ve just been to my local GAME store to pick up a Valentine’s present. While I was there I asked the guy working in the shop if they’ve had many pre-orders for the Nintnendo DSi XL. He said “Yeah, quite a lot… there’s going to be a shortage. If you want to pre-order it only needs a £20 deposit.” To which I replied, “No thanks, I’ve already got one”, which seemed cool to me but he seemed underwhelmed.

Anyway, if you don’t pre-order early, according to this guy, you might not get your console until weeks or months later. If you order on-line, it won’t require any deposit and you can always cancel your order at the last minute if you change your mind (or win one on a certain Nintendo DSi XL website), so it’s best to order now to be sure you get yours on March 5 (the release date). Check my guide to buy DSi XL consoles for the cheapest price.

    Im sorry but what exactly do the people who work at Game know ? you get asked by their staff – looking for anything in particular – yes says I – action adventure / rpg oh comes the reply what about brain training or a puzzle. I may be an ‘older gamer’ but I knows my games

    @Lyn
    2lol yeah some staff in shops don’t have a clue. I do expect this guy would have noticed how many pre-orders for a certain product he’s taken though. Sounds like he was experience too because he compared it to sales of previous DS consoles.

    Oww…. that means i might not get it. It’s my birthday on the 9th and my mom can’t really afford one so she is giving me money but i have to save up for ages. So i might not get it until months like our wii. That took ages to get. Oww…

    When I came to pr-order mine, they couldn’t even find the pre-order list at gamestation and when they did, it barely exceeded a page. Yet a week ago he recommended me to pre-order it very soon as there will be a shortage.
