The dark brown DSi Xl is so dark that in pictures it actually looks black. I haven’t seen one up close so I can’t really tell but it looks pretty close to a black DSi XL to me. At the time of writing the dark brown model is only being bought half as much as the red one so it could be a good idea to get one of these if you want to have a colour which is less common.

The Wine Red Nintendo DSi XL is currently the most popular model. It sold double what the alternative dark brown model had sold in pre-orders leading up to the console’s UK release. I have to say this shade of red does look very classy. I probably would have bought this colour myself if the red DSi XL hadn’t already sold out when I made my order.

With only a week left until the European launch of the DSi XL, Nintendo have finally announced the Australian and North American release date along with the Australian date.
North America: March 28 – $189.99
Australia: April 15 – Unknown
